I’m inspired by the emotion found in the way the light falls on a moment overlooked a million times, that is suddenly, and readily, apparent. Form, texture, and color are the shiny trinkets that catch my eye, like a curious bird, amassing a cache of fragmented stories, abstraction, and everyday mysteries that root my life in time. My subjects have been found in the course of daily life, moving between landscapes, in family and strangers, as well as the quiet, still life discovered in unexpected places, and in what others might discard. It is during the process of editing and curation that my subconscious intentions are made more clear as relationships and patterns emerge amongst the images. These small observations gather into a quiet record of how I move through the world.
